Dr. Rahul Aggarwal serves as the Associate Director and Head of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Apollo Cradle Hospital, located in Sector 82, Gurgaon, Haryana. He completed his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from the esteemed PGIMS in Rohtak, followed by a DM in Neonatology from JIPMER in Puducherry. Recognized for his excellence, he was awarded ‘The Best Outgoing DM Student’ and received a Gold Medal in Neonatology. Dr. Aggarwal is a lifetime member of both the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). His expertise lies in neonatal care, where he addresses a wide range of disorders affecting newborns, ensuring they receive the highest level of care.
He is skilled in managing cases of extreme prematurity, asphyxia, seizures, hypotension, persistent pulmonary hypertension, respiratory distress syndrome, meconium aspiration syndrome, apnea, chronic lung disease, congenital and acquired sepsis, neonatal jaundice, feeding challenges in IUGR infants, necrotizing enterocolitis, metabolic disorders, congenital cardiac issues, bleeding, anemia, acute kidney injury, hydronephrosis, metabolic bone disease, hypothyroidism, retinopathy of prematurity, and the medical management of neonatal surgical conditions such as diaphragmatic hernia, tracheoesophageal fistula, imperforate anus, gastroschisis, and exomphalos.
