Dr. Poorva Shah, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist registered with both the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). Since 2012, she has been in private practice in Pune, specializing in all facets of medical and cosmetic dermatology concerning skin, hair, and nails.
Her approach combines traditional and contemporary medical dermatology, including the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), alongside modern cosmetic procedures, particularly laser therapy.
Dr. Poorva Shah employs the latest advancements in treatments and technologies to enhance her patients’ natural beauty, advocating for a conservative, personalized, and gentle approach to help them look their best at any age.
Dr. Poorva Shah earned her M.B.B.S. from D.Y. Patil Medical College, affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) in Pune. She pursued her postgraduate studies and residency in dermatology at the Department of Dermatology, D.Y. Patil Hospital & Research Centre, Pune. Recently, she completed advanced training in vitiligo treatment in New Jersey, USA.
An accomplished author, Dr. Poorva Shah contributed a chapter to the esteemed IADVL textbook of dermatology, which serves as a key reference for postgraduate students and educators in the field.
She received the ‘Rising Star Scholarship Award’ at the 23rd World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, Canada, and has presented research at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Poorva Shah is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists (IADVL), the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India (ACSI), the Cosmetic Dermatology Society of India (CDSI), the Hair Research Society of India, and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Additionally, she serves as a faculty member and consultant dermatologist at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune.
